Pride of the South Color Guard members add color, movement, and excitement to the Ole Miss Marching Band’s performances.
Color Guard Audition Information

Schedule
8:00am-9:00am Registration
9:00am-9:30am Warm-up/Stretch
9:30am-10:30am Group work on audition routine and required movements
10:30am-12:00pm Auditions
Flags
You may bring your own flag, but we can provide flags to all individuals
There will be no weapons auditions at this time
Attire
- White t-shirt or tank top
- Black shorts
- Jazz shoes or tennis shoes
- Hair pulled back
- Numbers assigned for fair and unbiased assessment
Audition Components
- Across-the-floors: jazz walk; jazz run; chasse; sauté
- Flag basics and tosses: stir double; pop toss; single 45; other 45 tosses
- Audition routine
- Flag work
- Dance work
