Zachary Miller Adamz

Dr. Zachary Adamz is the Project Coordinator for the Chinese Language Flagship Program in the Department of Modern Languages at the University of Mississippi.

Biography

Dr. Zach Adamz earned a B.S. in Geography from Brigham Young University in 2010 and a M.A. in Geography from the University of Kansas in 2015. He then earned a Ph.D. in Asian Studies, with an emphasis in Korean language and culture, along with a teaching certificate in Museology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2022. He joined UM in 2021 as a Croft visiting professor and the Chinese Flagship program in 2023.

As the Project Coordinator, Dr. Adamz is responsible for handling the program logistics, including planning events, such as the annual showcase, advising students, coordinating with overseas partners, and recruiting prospective students. He is the public face of the program, and is always ready and willing to answer questions and meet with students. Zach also attends recruiting events across the state and around the country and is available for high school visits to discuss the Chinese Language Flagship program.
