Benjamin Thomas Jones

Research Interests

Research and teaching interests in international security, in particular: civil war dynamics, public diplomacy in civil wars, and foreign interventions in civil wars; as well as political methodology, with interest in event history analysis.

Biography

Ben Jones earned his Ph.D. in 2013 from The Ohio State University. He has research interests in international security broadly, with a particular focus on civil wars, the use of diplomacy during civil wars and the role of third parties during conflicts. In addition, he has research interests in event history analysis, with emphasis on the use and interpretation of multi-state models. He is currently serving as the Graduate Program Coordinator in the Department of Political Science. He is currently an Associate Editor for International Interactions.
