Biography

• Mason Myers received her undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi in the spring of 2020 with a B.A. in Public Policy Leadership. During her undergrad, Mason focused primarily on international policy within the Asia-Pacific region.
• Mason Myers is a PhD student in Criminal Justice Policy Studies at the University of Mississippi. Her research interests lie at the intersection of public policy and criminal justice policy. Mason's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy Leadership from the Lott Leadership Institute at the University of Mississippi, where she graduated in the spring of 2020. She furthered her education with a Master's degree in Criminal Justice Policy and Practice, where her thesis focused on a content analysis of restorative justice policies across the United States.
• Since the spring of 2021, Mason has served as the Managing Editor of the Journal of Experimental Criminology. Additionally, she has been a teaching assistant for numerous online classes, including the Master's Capstone, Criminal Justice Administration, and Criminal Justice Research Methods. In the fall of 2024, Mason will be teaching Introduction to Corrections. 
• Mason's long-term goal is to influence public policy through rigorous research and promote evidence-based practices within the criminal justice system.
