Special Events
Outdoor Morning Yoga
Join us for a relaxing Saturday morning with your fellow Ole Miss employees outside flowing at the South Campus Recreation Center’s Outdoor Turf! Similar to Vinyasa flow, you will connect the breath with fundamental poses, building heat and increasing endurance, strength and flexibility. Whether it is flowing through sun salutations or lying still in shavasana, you will leave this class feeling inspired and rejuvenated. A 45 minute class, great for yogis of all levels.

Trash Can Friday Flow - FREE
Join us every Friday before home football games for a fun yoga flow in the Grove! Embrace the energy felt from the first sign of game day, Trash Can Friday, and get your yoga flow in to prepare and relax before the busy weekend! No yoga experience necessary. Bring your own mat or use one of ours while supplies last!

Request an appointment for an in-depth tour at one or both the Turner Center and South Campus Recreation Center. Your tour guide will also help you learn more about our fitness programs and how to register and participate!

Faculty/Staff Swim 101
Turner Center Natatorium - Shallow End + Lap Lanes
Session 1: September 3rd - October 8th (Tuesdays at 5:15pm)
Session 2: October 15th - November 19th (Tuesdays at 5:15pm)
Looking to learn how to swim? Swim 101 is the program for you! Every Tuesday throughout the school year, learn the basics of water safety and how to swim with our swim lesson instructors for free. The class will progress to more advanced skills over the 6 weeks of sessions! This course is designed for faculty and staff only. Completion of session 1 is not required to participate in session 2. All basic skills will be covered with opportunity for more advanced skills for those who attended Session 1.
15-Minute Stretch Sessions on Zoom
You don’t even have to leave your desk to participate in a weekly 15-minute stretch session! Join us on Zoom on Wednesdays at 2:30pm for a 15 minute full body stretch that will leave you feeling refreshed and help with your posture.

Pickleball
Come play pickleball with your fellow employees! Check the weekly schedule for all pickleball opportunity times and locations throughout the week. Balls and paddles are provided and all levels are welcome! Email vewinoku@olemiss.edu to be added to the weekly pickleball email list. Any updates, schedule changes/reminders, or additional opportunities about pickleball will be sent out weekly.
