A key priority for Brand Services is to provide our colleagues across the University of Mississippi community with the assets, resources, and guidance needed to deliver a consistent brand experience for all audiences.

The Digital Depot

In 2021, University Marketing & Communications identified a Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform to serve as the single source for all digital marketing and communications assets. Our goal was to identify a platform that would:

  • make assets more readily discoverable,
  • improve brand equity and access across campus,
  • use staff time more efficiently,
  • encourage more collaboration across campaigns, and
  • allow for self-service and distinct levels of access.

Since that time, the department created 'The Digital Depot', identified Herman Payton as digital asset manager, and developed a strategy and process by which we can preserve and archive all creative assets.

Additional Resources

In addition to the images, brand guidelines and presentation templates, videos and other assets available to all members of the university community within the Digital Depot, we have other resources available by request.

Our team curates a comprehensive photo archive at olemiss.photoshelter.com. These images are not available for public download, but you may choose to purchase images for personal use from that site. If you feel that the image should be added to The Digital Depot for official University use by DAM licensees, please contact Herman Payton.

In addition to photography, typography, use of color and graphic element trainings that are offered in The Digital Depot, our team is available for comprehensive brand trainings including personality messaging, image selection training, and more. Simply email brand@olemiss.edu to share more information and we'll tailor it to your needs.

The Marketing & Brand Strategy team manages several different digital tools that members of the community are encouraged to use including the university's web content management system, an email marketing platform, and a social media management tool.
